Herbert Spencer has been making traditional silver and turquoise jewelry for over 30 years. A Dine’ artist living in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, Spencer is now in his 60’s. His father and uncle were also silversmiths, and handed the family craft down to Spencer. His love for the work is evident in his classically detailed pieces, and his traditional leaf work designs are recognized as his signature style.
