Chippewa

Michael was born in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1958. His father is of the Chippewa Tribe, and his mother is German. Michael has been a stone sculptor in Santa Fe for many years. Hi is especially know for the stone bear and buffalo carvings he creates using local New Mexico stones that he mines himself. His work is included in the collection at the Museum of New Mexico. Each piece has its own unique personality and character, making his work very popular and very collectable.
